How to Enable 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) via an Email (new)

Email based 2- factor authentication adds an external layer of security to your account by requiring a verification code sent to your registered email.
You will need this code each time you log in.

Follow these steps to start enabling 2-factor via Email:
  1. Open your web browser.
  2. Below is a list of all 'tasklearn' web links. Choose the link that belongs to your oil company to access your 'tasklearn' home page:

  1. Enter your Branch Admin username and password, click on SIGN IN.

  1. Expand the right drop down menu and select MY ACCOUNT.

  1. Select PROFILE and click ENABLE 2- FACTOR AUTHENTICATION.
  2. Please make sure the email address on your profile is correct before setting up the 2-factor authentication.


  1. In the new window, you need to set the Authenticator type to EMAIL and the click on ACTIVATE.



Login steps after Activating Email 2FA:
  1. Enter your Branch Admin username and password as usual.
  2. Check for the email from reports@tasklearn.co.za with the 6 digit login code.
  3. If the email take time to be delivered, please check your internet connections.
  4. Enter the code in the authentication field and click SIGN IN.
  5. There is an option to tick a box to "Remember this device for 30 days", if you tick the box, you will not need to type in an OTP for the next 30 days:

Didn't receive email?
  1. Check Spam/junk on you emails.
  2. Ensure your profile email is correct.
